BioMush, formerly known as Nordic Umami Company, is a pioneering force in food technology for the food industry. This approximately ten-person startup has developed a technological solution to turn food industry side streams into natural, umami rich flavour products. Founded in 2021, the growth company is setting its sights on Europe and global expansion as it prepares to launch its commercial model.
The collaboration with BioMush began two years ago, based on a recommendation from an investor. As the company stabilized and expanded, BioMush’s most pressing need was to find a low-threshold partner to handle and advise on various legal matters, ensuring that their paperwork was in order. Starting with initial contract issues, the focus quickly shifted to growth company-specific topics, including corporate governance, shareholder agreements, employment law, incentive schemes, commercial agreements, and funding rounds.
